Meanwhile, Jong’s Crocodile Farm, 29km away, showcases Malaysia’s largest captive breeding program for crocodiles, alongside a variety of Borneo’s rare fauna. Further into the Padawan District, Annah Rais Bidayuh Longhouse offers a glimpse into traditional Bornean communal living, nestled amid scenic countryside and a vibrant cultural heritage.

Semenggoh Wildlife Centre is located 20km from Kuching City. The centre serves as a centre for the care and rehabilitation of confiscated and / or surrendered animals especially the Orang Utan. The Orang Utans are trained or re-trained to survive in their natural habitat. Upon arrival, take a walk on the trails to the feeding site to catch a glimpse of these unique ‘Wild Men of Borneo’ during feeding time while your escort narrates to you their humane behaviour, emotion and characteristics attributing to the mere reason for them being called Orang Utan meaning ‘Men of the Forest’.
Orang Utan feeding time: 0900hrs-1000hrs (morning session).

Jong’s Crocodile Farm is located about 29km from Kuching City. It is one of the Malaysia’s biggest captive breeding crocodile farm. About 2,000 crocodiles are well-kept behind protective enclosures ranging from babies to the 60 years old. There are few natural breeding ponds for the crocodiles to mate and multiply. Apart from crocodiles, there are also numerous rare species of birds and animal found only in Borneo Island such as monkeys, leopards-cats, sun-bears, bearcats, pheasants, civets, barking-deers, sambar deers, monitor lizards and pythons.

Arapaima is one of the largest tropical freshwater fish in the world, which its length can reach more than 2m (6.6ft).

Annah Rais Bidayuh Longhouse is the most popular one in the Padawan District. An hour journey to Annah Rais is unique as its winds through scenic countryside along the zigzag road framed by hills and private plantations. At least 5 longhouses are joined together to make Annah Rais a grand and unique longhouse. In the midst of its lies the “Baruk”. The longhouse was built along a stream of crystal clear running water, which the longhouse folks use to wash, bathe and fishing. After tour complete, back to hotel.
